After training in Television Programme Operations at Ravensbourne, Nick started his career as a Researcher, AP and Producer in Children's TV with Carlton Television. Here, he began studio directing, before joining CBBC Presentation, then moving on to direct programmes including Tikkabilla and Newsround.

 

Freelance since 2005, Nick has specialised in fast paced, technically complex live programmes. News and Current Affairs work includes BBC News, Arise News and CNBC. He has directed live OB debate programmes, including The Press We Deserve for Thomson Reuters at the height of the phone hacking scandal, and Ask Attenborough for the Eden Channel.

 

Nick was Launch Director for The Perform Group and Matchroom Sport's Championship League Darts and Championship League Snooker, the world's first internet-exclusive professional darts and snooker tournaments. He has also directed Poker for Channel 5 and Sky, and Commonwealth Title Boxing.

 

He is an experienced director of live corporate events, webcasts, awards shows and conferences. He has directed Google's Zeitgeist Europe for ten years, and regularly provides network television production standards for the corporate sector.
